Impressions Up 400% Today

and ctr/cpm way down as would be expected with increase in impressions (assuming not correct).

As far as I can tell traffic appears normal (logs not updated yet).

Doesn't make sense, anyone else seeing this or have an idea why?

If your impressions are up 400% then it's not Adsense. Either you added 3 more Adsense calls to your page or your site traffic is up.

Usually around 4,000 impressions a day for adsense, now over 17,000.

As my server stats won't update for 24/36 hours, I can't be 100% on traffic increases, however I'm pretty sure as affiliate clicks are normal. The servers do allow me to see "recent vistors" on a real time basis and it appears normal.

I had the same thing occure this morning at about 7:30 AM. it was at about 50% of my daily average, and now it's about 25% above an average day, and best day since October 13. If I make just $1.00 more today it'll be my best day since early this year!

Page impression wise it normal, 60,000-70,000 (two ads on most pages) with CPM about double the average.

I saw something similar when some big site featured my site in one of their articles, trippled my impressions for a few weeks, was a nice boost, and now average traffic has gone up a few notches as a direct result of it.

Niether of the above, and now I have better data.

Two adsense channels both show around 8,0000 impression on one particular site and are both normally in the hundreds. The server logs for this site do not support anywhere near this traffic (only around 1,000 visits on this day). The adsense code for both of these channels are in ssi's, so maybe a malfuction with ssi?

This must have been a fluke as it was only the one day and now everything is back to the normal range. Not sure if I should email adsense about it or just forget it unless it happens again?
