Too Many Clicks?

I run a pretty successful adsense campaign on many sites with sometimes XXX or XXXX click's/day. I also run a superb third party software package side by seide that allows me to track EVERYTHING as referrer, clicks, IPs, urls, etc. Lately when I check my stats on this software, I am seeing sometimes 7-12 clicks from the SAME IP address just minutes apart.

The question is this: Do you thin that G might perceived this activity as NORMAL CLICKER behavior? I can admit (the first step is to admit your fears LOL) I am a bit worried that G might consider this as click fraud and SO WISH that I could restrict IP addresses from being logged OR clicked.

Or is it simply "Paranoia will Destroy ya"?

aol and others send tons of people through the same IPs - I once banned an 'IP' resulting in hundreds or even thousands of users being unable to use my site... I then realized that it was an aol proxy server.

G recognizes that there are valid instances when users can click on ads repeatedly.

Tony, may I ask, what is the 'superb third party software package' you run on your site?

Would you mind stickying it to me also?

I'm noting an extreme increase in clicks over the last few days. Actually, I'm sure they are ligit due to the fact that about the first of the month, the ads all changed and now reflect a lot of gift items that are related to the subject of my site. Pretty neat really. I get a big boost when a major annual event that my site covers takes place and for the month leading up to it. I did not have Adsense in place last Christmas (wish I would have!) but it looks like there will be an above average period leading up to the gift giving order cut off time period.. I'd like to be able to analyze what is getting clicked on, if only for curosity sake. I'm not going to try awfully hard to tweek my site just to get clicks, I subscribe to the "content content content" school of thought but it doesn't hurt to know what works.

Personally, I think AdSense is an absolute blessing for the small website publisher! When the DotCom crunch came round, I thought that making a buck or two from ad placement would never happen again. Now, with AdSense and reading some studies where the main target market buyers are getting most of their product information (on the net, of course) I think net publishers are in for a fairly long run of pretty decent income potential from good website content.

Frankly, I've been absolutely amazed at the income level since I first put it on!
