Do you use any third party software (like asrep) to protect your account from click bombing? Is this necessary? I heard that Google can track invalid clicks well nowadays and don't count them.
Is still find messages where someone's adsense account has disabled because of click bombing.

Google's pretty good about it. In the past when I noticed unusual activity, I would email them about it. Then they did a blog post saying you don't need to email them about it, they know.
The whole thing is about patterns. If you've got an account that's in good standing, and you suddenly get a short burst of weird activity (I say short because hopefully you are keeping an eye open for this sort of thing and can nip it in the bud as soon as you notice it) you're probably okay.
If you have a history of skirting on the edge - or it seems to be happening over and over, and you don't appear to be doing anything to stop it - then you might find yourself getting the boot.
I don't know about any third party software and I don't know that I'd trust it if I did. I monitor logfiles, I run StatCounter which gives me pretty good real time log analysis, and I have been doing this long enough that I know what the numbers are *supposed* to look like as far as traffic, impressions and clicks. If I see a bump I can't explain away, then I go investigate where it came from. If it's suspicious (like tons of traffic suddenly coming from Elbonia in Eastern Europe for my Michigan-themed website), I block IP numbers.

Thanks for your answer. I have used asrep click bombing protection tool for last years and got earlier a lot of "warnings" to my email that some IP has clicked my adsense ads more than 5 times during couple of minutes but I don't get those emails anymore. I have to try StatCounter someday.

I guess it would have to happen on a very regular basis for 5 to be considered completely invalid. When it's happened to me in the past I've reported 100/200/300 clicks, I think the most was 700, however Google were already on to it and had discounted them.
I had 15 the other day from one IP and they were all counted as valid at about 0.03 each and a couple of weeks ago someone was obviously surfing my AdLinks and I earned about 0.90 for 90 clicks!
