Can't Link New Custom CSE to AdSense Account

I have an existing AdSense account (obviously) I have both AdSense for Search search boxes on some sites, and I also have a few Custom Search Engines (CSEs) made up of hand-picked sites on certain topics. All this was set up years ago, and it all works very well.

I'm setting up a new mobile version of one of my sites, and I need to copy the CSE so I can serve the results in a different format. I did that, but I can't link it to my AdSense account. Every time I try, it asks me for the email address of my AdSense account, my zip code and my phone number, and I submit, but it just drops down one blank line and doesn't take. I've been trying this for days; it still says the search engine is not linked to any AdSense account. I've tried this in Firefox 3, Internet Explorer 8 and Chrome. I've flushed out the temporary files. *It doesn't work*

I emailed AdSense support but of course got nothing. Posted something in the AdSense forum, to no avail. Went over to the Custom Search forum, and found half a dozen to a dozen people with the exact same problem, but no answer or response.

I post this here on the off chance that someone from Google might see it and inform someone that there's a BUG somewhere preventing people from linking their new custom search engines to their AdSense accounts. And, as usual, there is NO means of getting any support on this issue that cannot be solved via help docs or user forums.

Well, our ASA moved along, we don't have one anymore best I know unless one steps forward.

So sadly it seems the level of AdSense customer service (and Elvis) has left the building on all fronts.

If you continue getting paid, that's all you get these days.

No, she's gone. But there are other G employees who stumble in here occasionally. You know me, I don't just yell, I yell everywhere, and loudly.

I've had the same problem since CSE's were first allowed to be associated with AdSense. I was told it was because I had a legacy AdSense account and they were working on it. That was in 2007. Good luck.

Well I switched to a new AdSense account last year, so if I can get ahold of anyone at all, they're going to have to dream up a better excuse than that.

Well I did make a lot of noise all over the place, and someone from Google actually contacted me; they're looking into it. So there.

Was there any issues switching to a new AdSense account, Netmeg? I've been told they do that as a last resort, maybe I should press the issue more.

Nope, whatever this error was, it was broke for everyone, because all the other people who said they couldn't do it either (in the custom search forum) can now link accounts too, as of this afternoon.
