I am runing 4 ad units on one page, should I expect to be banned

hello guys. I run 4 ad units on each page on a site.

I have 2 Skyscrapers. one on the right and one the left and one Large Rectangle in the middle of a page (below the content) and the fourth ad unit is the "Button (125x125)".
I was running 3 ad unit and one link unit (120x90) on the top of the page, it was performing poorly so I removed it and put the Button (125x125) ad unit. that's 4 ad units on a page.

I am aware that google tells us to use up 3 ad unit. should I remove the fourth ad unit to avoid any action taken from google on my account? has anyone used 4 ad units before?

if you already know that google forbid it, then why do you need to ask us. it's pretty obvious that you should remove it.

Take it down. It may be too late already. I'm sure they can detect such practices automatically.

It used to be that if one accidentally added too many units then it did not display, has this changed?

I know this since I accidentally did this a few years ago when I was "messing about" :-)

you are allowed to have 3 ad units AND 3 link units on a page... in your situation, you can add 2 more link units and still be within the TOS.

you can also add two search boxes.

yes Lame_wolf. I didn't want to run any Link units as they have a poor performance on my site.

anyway, I have just removed the fourth ad unit. now only 3 ad units on each page.
however I am thinking to put Bidviser ads on the same pages that has adsense ads. will that upset the adsense team?
