Adsense and Mailchimp

Is it allowable to place Adsense ads within my email campaign?

I send a regular monthly email newsletter via Mailchimp. Is it allowable by both entities, Mailchimp and Adsense, to include adsense ads in the newsletter?

the Google Adsense program does not permit AdSense ad code to be placed in email messages or newsletters. However, there is an exception for ads placed in emails through the AdSense for feeds product, which enables publishers to distribute their feed content through email.

Surely included adsense ads in an e-mail would be pointless? Adsense would not be able to spider an e-mail so you'd be left with PSAs.

Excellent point. I remember thinking this in the back of my mind as well. Thanks for the confirmation.

More than the fact that you'd be left with PSAs, the thing to remember is that it is NOT allowed.

I suggest you read and re-read the program policies.

Many newbies are just surprised to be terminated from Adsense -- and Adsense terminates users -- simply because they did not read the policies and did things that violate the rules.

No excuse for ignorance with Adsense :o)
