First one ever. Didn't think it went that low. What a shame! :(

Has anyone had any lower?

alpski all depends on the keyword the person bought and the keyword that the ad displayed during the click.

maybe it's time to start writing articles about skiing with mesothelioma. Or skiing with home loan debt?

No, just kidding, I'm not that boring.
Although it would bring in the dollars!?$

Well don't forget if someone from another country (for instance a 3rd world country) visited your site, Geotargeting would show lower value ads than if they were, say, based in the US.

Oh, stop yer whining. Volume, volume, volume—that's the way you've got to think.

I get plenty of 3 cent clicks. Obviously I get better paying clicks too, but it's all good. Of course, I'm nowhere near the Fed Ex Club, but for my site traffic and expectations going in, I'm very happy.

How do you guys tell how much you get for an individual click?

Firstly, whenever you post about having $.03 or $15.00 clicks, the established members will point out that because of the time lags in G reporting and other factors you can't really tell WHAT you are being paid per click anyway!

I'd say that I had a few very low value clicks last month, as well as a few high value ones. It was also the best ever month for bottom line $$$$ figure.

As long as you have a reasonable CTR rate, and good content that results in well targetted adverts then the bottom line cash figure is probably the most important figure. Live with the fact that you will get very low clicks as well as good ones, and there are soooo many variables out of our control there's no point in losing sleep over it! Look at the averages and bottom lines.

What you might want to look at is ad layout and placement. I changed a 120 skyscraper on the right of the page for a square one cetre of the page and the CTR trebled! Experiment with banner styles and placement, and what pages the ads work on, and what pages they don't.
