I selected to filter out political ads many months ago but I have had reports that political ads have been showing on my site and I just saw one today, a flash ad for a California ammendment.

Filters have a loop hole?

I sometimes wonder if the filters are reset during updates/changes, etc.

I have also filtered out all diet ads, and they are still appearing.

I assume that the advertisers classify their own ads or possibly don't to get them past the filters. When I have been hit with an ad for a blocked topic I have immediately reported it as a ToS breach. No idea if that has any effect as I explicitly block the domain at the same time.

Actually we advertisers don't really have an option to categorize our ads. Google does it. I assume via bot.

I've discovered that category filters don't work for me either, so I allow them all now.

I had blocked all categories I could think of in which our perennial favourites the Belly Flatters could, er, sneak into, but they still appeared on quite a few of my sites.

I remember we discussed this issue months ago in another thread. If I recall correctly, AdSenseAdvisor had shown interest in this bug too.
