Do they coexist?

OK, now that IBA-s hit mainstream, here is a question: does Google apply Smart Pricing when it shows IBA-s?

Smart Pricing, as I understand, is an algo that is used to calculate the likelihood of a click from a publisher site to convert into sales/action/whatever on advertiser's site and this way to a tool to discount the cost of the click.

Nowadays any ad can appear on any publisher site.

Isn't it just a way too accidental on which site the user finally clicks on an ad that has been following him/her for weeks?

Isn't it the time to retire Smart Pricing?

Geez, I hope so. A lot of bloggers have come to depend on social media to increase the visibility of their blogs and the content within. If Google discounts the value of visitors who arrive from these social media sites, bloggers who have Adsense on their pages will re-assess the value of using social media. Less visitors means higher eCPM and bloggers feel price pressure to stay within their niche markets, depending on visitors who find them through search engines. The bloggers lose, but so does Google.

Hard to tell, as Google doesn't tell us if and how Smart Priced our site/channels are...
