I was trying to look at the broader picture on backdrop of recent earnings down thread.
Even I was thinking that my earnings are going down till I got these stats (for last 4 months) and put it excel chart to analyze.
My sites are general topic directory type sites, majority visitors are from India.
Not much seasonal traffic.
Here is the trend of my stats from 1st Jan 2010 to 7th May 2010.
Impressions+66%
Clicks+100%
CTRNo change
eCPMNo change
Earnings+33%
CPC-10%
Now I have few general questions.
1) Since my impressions and clicks are increasing and my eCPM is not changing, does it mean that the market has still got more potential to grow?
2) CPC is down by 10% does it mean that due to more clicks I am getting less CPC?
3) Is it showing a recovery pattern in Indian economy?
I understand these are very broad term questions and lot depends upon the site niche, geographic location, advertisers' budget etc. But I would like to know others opinions as well as similar stats for last few months.
I think this can help me as well as others in getting a long term picture of adsense and not looking at the day to day basis.
Again I know there are many senior webmasters who dont look at day to day basis but majority webmasters I believe look at the stats on day to day basis.(If not hour to hour)
