Hi, quick question.

I'm already approved in the Adsense program for my other site, but am now building a new site.

Can I place Adsense on the new site while it's being worked on?

All the site is right now is the basic layout of what the site is going to look like and what features you'll expect to see soon.

It would be wiser to wait until the site is properly ready for visitors before you start installing AdSense.

Ya, I agree.

Better to add Adsense later. Might get more links that way.

Thing is, I just bought a sexy domain that is getting some nice type in traffic.

I just think it might take me a month or 2 to get the site up and running and didn't want to miss out on the cash from all this type in traffic, with no ad's, just a holding page.

Plus, the visitors typing in the domain might really be interested in the ad's since my site has nothing to offer right now.

But I think I'm going to take your advice. I'll just try to build faster.

The month or 2 without ad's isn't much in the long run and will probably pay off more in the end for holding off.

Would it be against Adsense TOS though, out of curiosity?

I think the main problem, as you prably knokw, is the risk of of your adsense appearing on one of you pages that has little or no content, as a result of your building work.
I would also worry about the extra page impressions you might make while you are working on the site

If I am giving a site a face lift, I will normally remove adsense from the area I am working on.

It's against the T&Cs to put AdSense on a site "under construction" or with no relevant content however there's nothing to stop you creating a splash page with genuine content and if you are getting valid type-ins and if you intend having AdSense on the site from the very beginning, personally I would get it up there.

I have been doing this for years for my trade widget type-ins without any problems and my splash pages all link directly to my main B&M sites.

I suppose the obvious question would be, if no content, then what ads could be displayed except PSA?

Pointless exercise so I wouldn't.

The URL, and upcoming content on the way text, is enough for Adsense to display related ads.

It's more than just a blank parking page.

Why not give a try for AdSense for Domains? Google is officially allowing you to put adsense on parked domains.
Check out if you are eligible to put ads on your domain.

It's specifically against TOS to put AdSense on a page with no content. But if you think the risk of losing your account is worth the few bucks you might pick up, by all means, go for it.
