35% Clickthrough rate?

Hi All:)) , i'm new to adcence. My quastion is:
35% Clickthrough rate- is it normal or is it too much?
I dont have a massive trafic..about 300 per day..small site.

35% may not be out of line for tightly focused pages, especially with modest traffic.

Volume of traffic and a niche site doesn't have much to do with CTR of 35%. The easist way to have a click-through rate of 30% is by having a page where the entire page's content can be viewed without a scrollbar and the ad is in the middle of the page and obviously relevent.

Most people that monitize website traffic via adsense and get traffic to their site via adwords know that having a CTR of at least 30% is imperitive to being profitable.

Highest CTR I have ever revieced is 39%, but that was when I first begun and traffic was low. With 2500 impressions daily on average the CTR is usually around 1% ...

So, I guess, is better to have low trafic with hi Clickthrough rate then hi traf with low Clickthrough rate…....But won’t google get suspicious if your Clickthrough rate stays..let say from 35 to 50 for..4 mounth.?...can thay trac it some how..?

I agree with Mike. The number of impressions does not have a bearing. It just means that your pages are structured in such a way that people think the most logical place to click next is the adsense ad :)

There is nothing wrong with 35% unless you have very little content on your page with no other way for a visitor to leave than by clicking an adsense link.

I have seen higher with a substantial number of daily impressions.

I use channels to monitor different areas of my site, for both the Ad performance and Search performance. Daily I see CTR's between 0 (zero) and 85% within the niche areas, averaging 25%. The general areas of the site see about 6% CTR. But due to traffic volume, the general areas far exceed revenue share.

I had Google call me last month looking for my opinions on what I thought of the AdSense program. Since I was only new (3 motnhs in) to the program I couldn't give a whole lot of input. But htey were curious to know my thoughts on content relevence, competitor links appearing in the boxes (filtering), CTR of AdSense compared to my other affilate programs. They said they'd call again next summer. I won't hold my breathe. :-)
