Adsense on a page serving search results

Does anyone know if there would be a problem with putting ad's on a page which just displays search results based on a query passed to the page.

I have a page on my site which I set up 3+ years ago (bit like a wiki page) but somehow forgot about it.

Recently looked at the server stats (Normally use Google Analytics) and saw that this page is serving a lot of traffic. February saw 527,487 page views from 22,315 UV !

I want to cash in on this now but to be honest I am afraid that if I suddenly put ads on the page, Google will wonder what the hell has hit the site and cut me dead !

I am a long term publisher (6 yrs+) and have never crossed their path.

Anyone know of any route to get this"pre-approved" ?

Thanks in advance.

Doesn't that contradict what it says here ? :
[google.com...]

AdSense for search: "A maximum of two Google AdSense for search boxes may be placed per page. Also, a single link unit or a search box, but no other Google ads, may be placed on pages with AdSense for search results..."

The single link unit on AdSense for search is not clear, but its not related to AdSense for content ads on non-Google search results pages.
