Hello,

I noticed my internet provider recently changed my internet IP several times, about every week or so. I have an adsense account and I am concerned that I log in with so many different IPs recently.

What can I do about this situation? Is it very bad to log in with multiple shared IPs? Or should I get a dedicated IP? If so how much approximately does it cost and is it easy to get?

Thanks

What is there to worry about ?
Many people do not have static IP. Why is this an adsense question ?

I've had for years dinamic IPs. That's nothig to worry about.
Even more, I have a dinamic IP in my house DSL and a static IP hete, at the office and I check adsense from both places.

My worry is, my site is about a destination. So what if someone from the same IP in my town visit my site and click on the ads?

So you've got this IP and you're looking into your Adsense site. The dynamic IP changes is reassinged to someone else that happens to visit your site AND click on an advertisement.

Not only are the odds of the first event happening (it is reassigned to someone that subsequently visits your site), but then this person clicks on a advertisement too? The odds of that happening have to be astronomically high.

If you're not cheating Google, you have nothing to worry about.

Yes, it is true that the chances are slim, but as I said, my website is about a specific location (travel site) and it is about the location where I live and I get a lot of local visitors as well.

Second, I'm also not completely clear between shared and static IP. Does static mean that only I and nobody else has that IP? Also, the same goes for my current dynamic IP. I don't know how many other people share my dynamic IP.

Nobody shares a dynamic IP. Once you have "finished" with it, someone else has it.

Does someone knows how much does a static IP costs? Are there many people using a static IP for adsense purposes?

The cost is one of those "it depends" things...

Figure between $15 USD and $50 USD per month more than you're already paying.

I don't use a static IP.

I noticed every time I switch on my computer I have a new IP. This is very annoying and strange! it has never been like that before.

Unless you are running a server, then I cannot see why it is annoying.

I've a static IP for one of my sites at $1 a month.

One from my ISP [BigPond] would be totally pointless. I fail to see a problem anywhere because 99.9+% of internet users are in the same situation.

I travel the world as a consultant. Last year I checked AdSense stats from India, France, Singapore, Japan, Wales UK, Hong Kong, Belfast UK, Brazil, Kuala Lumpur, Road Town BVI, Belize, and a dozen+ cities in the USA.

No problems...
