I have a job search website which I have been using AdSence on it for a few years. At the beginning it was not too bad, $100 per month, but since last year, it became worse, $100 per 2 month, I found it hard to find some site to advertise. Last year, I though to start a blog site as a sub-domain of this main site, hopped the blog could reach more visitors, I am using AdSence ads in blog too. So far, my blog site is much better popularity than the main site, but the clicks on AdSence ads are much less than the clicks from the main site, it seems people came to blog not click ads that much, and also per click earning is less than non-blog site! Anybody can recommend Adsence ads appear in what part of blog page is better.

My blogs' pages CTRs are far higher than my main sites by about 300%!

All I use is a 468 x 60 at the top and a 336 x 280 at the bottom of each post.

I am using 336 x 280 at the bottom of each post too, also used 600 x 160 in left bar but it doesn't make money, so I moved it into right side of each post.
By the way, what plugin do you use for insert Adsence ads into blog?

I don't...I have my codes ready in a text editor, copy and paste from there directly into the top, write the post, include images if necessary, and then paste onto the end of the post.

Simple but effective:-)

How many posts do you have on the main or home page of your blog?

How long is a typical blog post - a few lines, a few lengthy paragraphs ...?

I know this question is not aimed at me however I have one post per page and depending on the nature of the post between two to five paragraphs with 200-500 words and always an image of the product/company/subject.

I use my set format for every post therefore regular visitors know precisely what to expect and where, whether that's a good or a bad idea I'm not sure however it seems to work:-)
