2 hours ago, January 2010 passed beyond the revenues from December 2008.

January 2010 has been my worse month since I joined Adsense in 2004. Currently I am 275% down on January 2009.

Strangely January 2009 to June 2009 I had exceeded my whole yearly total for 2008. From July until December the down trend started andf what I gain from January to June I lost, so in the end i broke even for 2009.

2010 started disasterously and continued through the whole of January. I'm only hoping that February doesn't continue the trend otherwise I will need to look for other ways of monetising my websites. As all my sites are computer support related I didn't expect to make a fortune from Google but I certainly didn't foresee this January's appalling figures coming.

Not my best month since Dec 2008 but the best January so far.

For me, the best since last summer. I think visitor numbers are taking up a lot of the slack though because the CTR isn't that great. There again, maybe it was more than it should be last year.

How can you be 275% down?

100% would be zero...275% you are paying Google!

Reminds me on the first hour in the university.

The teacher showed, that 80% of the students make severe failures at % calculations.

@HushPup,

You are quite correct HushPup with your percentages. What I would like to know is how the 2 got there? It should have read 75% not 275%. It's my fault for not reading through the post fully before I sent it.

However, the first day of February also started disasterously. 68% down on last year and judging by today's figures so far which, incidentally, have been stuck on 2 pence (UK) for the last five hours it looks like I will have to stand in the market place with a begging bowl:-)

I know Google is supposed to be the best but what other options have users used to monetise their sites? I have a few affiliates but my visitor figures are only around the 2000 per day and many vendors prefer tens of thousands a day before they will look at you.
