My payment was posted PIP December 22
People that I know that get a check, get their PIP sooner.
Adsense has said more than a few times that they do not process the payments this way. Doesn't mean that I believe them totally but this is what they say and they don't say HOW the order of processing the payments go.

Here are two examples on this very thread. The only two who have reported PIP so far have checks.

The AdSense Team - not wanting to be outdone by the Google Search Team - have created their own algorithm for determining who gets their PIP first and who gets paid first.
The algo consists of the following information:
Geo-location of publisher.
Date publisher started with AdSense.
Monthly earning.
Publishers traffic.
How many times the publisher contacted (bothered) AdSense.
First letter of the publishers first name or name of business.
All that data is placed into the algo machine around the 19th of the month and voila, PIP is updated to publishers accounts.
I psoted that specific reply because I just want people to know that even though we may speculate on the "hows" it hasn't gotten to the point where we can say for sure 100% as to how adsense does things. As a matter of fact I personally think that Adsense is just trying to drive the most paranoid and neurotic amongst us (yeah including me) into insanity! Which at least for me has worked!

Of course they will. It is rather obvious if you think about it.
Cheques take time to deliver to ensure that everyone gets paid by the 5th.

I think personal browsing and search habits are also factored into when they will issue your payment.
Starting about the 15th of the month if you will start heavily searching terms such as:
"Personal bankruptcy attorney"
"How to avoid mortgage foreclosure"
etc., they tend to get your payment out faster.
And I discovered that if I search for:
"My wife left in my pickup and took my favorite dog with her and now I'm sleeping in the chicken coop until I get my monthly AdSense payment when will it come?"
...that really speeds things up. Now, I'm not married, but Google doesn't seem to have caught on to that yet.

Yes it does. Any input to help figure out the AdSense PIP algo is quite helpful :)
To the check receivers. Do you normally see PIP a whole week before the EFT recipients?
Normally last Tuesday of the month translates into MIB by the following Saturday morning for me. It won't this time around because of the four day weekend coming up, so I expect MIB next Tuesday.
I raised a Christmas present for each of you and this means that tomorrow morning I'll have enough money and enough time to get your presents to Santa Claus in time for tomorrow night's delivery.
However, since I won't get the money until tomorrow, I won't have time to take your presents to the veterinarian for their shots.
I'm going to go ahead and send them with Santa without the shots, hope you all don't mind.
You might want to leave out some fresh raw meat for your present near the milk and cookies you're leaving for Santa. And some newspapers spread out on the floor might not be a bad idea.

The banks are open on Christmas Eve, right?

Anyone know what PIP really means? Have they issued instructions to their bank to pay us and we wait until the banking system processes the money into our accounts?
