Belated Adsense/Performics Question

Abandon affiliate income from low quality site?

I don't like throwing money away though I've been quite good at it through the years ;) -- But

Our history:

For a long, long time we had 2 great income streams using Adwords.

One campaign Google still "likes" and it pays all the bills each month.

The other, perhaps more obvious affiliate campaign began getting hit with QS 1 after years of what was a mutually satisfying relationship. I made money, Adwords got 10 times the spend they get from me now, and satisfied searchers bought copious amounts of product through those honest sites. I saw the uselessness of continuing it on Adwords and shut that one down in early 2009.

Also long ago my wife set up a rather thin affiliate site around a single merchant and never used Adwords. It makes little money, mostly from a small circle of friends and community who use it (not against the merchant TOS). This aff program became part of Performics.

Now, when my wife goes in to check revenue, she is directed to Google to associate it with an Adsense account. We have held off for now.

Our quandary:

Do we link my wife's site up to our Google account to get paid some now unknown amount of outstanding commissions?

Will my wife's "thin affiliate" site somehow anger Google and lead to the dreaded lifetime Adwords/Adsense ban I've read so much about?

A single conversion on our remaining Adwords PPC campaign generates roughly the unpaid revenue my wife is owed.

Our current account has Adsense on some sites but the payments are nothing to write home about.

Still, just as a matter of principle, I hate to throw earned money away.

We don't want to do anything "sneaky" to get paid simple, earned commissions.

Any input or similar experiences are appreciated!

If you have a different bank account that you can give them, set up a secondary Google account.
You're actually entitled to, as she is a different 'person' to you.
I wouldn't chance ruining the 'good' G account with such a small amount.
(But don't try and use the same bank account for payment)

:reviews: ummm, actually - do they have your current bank details? In any case - yes, second account.

Hmmm Leadegroot.

Lots of food for thought in your reply...

Probably leave it be, let it go -- a shame. Like I'd want to consult 2 lawyers before taking the chance on this silly thing!

Got like 2 paper checks a year for AdSense income.

Since the domain in question was a generic name, I used it for Adwords in years past. Got slapped down to 1/10 at some point. I put my wife's site on a fresh domain -- maybe we'll start "fresh' with a new affiliate partner ;) - one that is not part of Performics.

A shame that we can't even see how much commission is outstanding, could be $500.00 for all we know. If I go to the former Performics portal, I'm redirected to Adsense signup.

You know, having an honest site doing honest sales was not supposed to be like gambling at a casion. Frustrating!

Thanks for the advice,
