I realy would love to receive my adsense check before chrismas as I have made pretty good earning on November. it would be a good shopping christmas week for me.

anyone has a clue if it is happening before Xmas?

It has been before Christmas (at least for the US) for the last couple of years if I remember correctly, but I do know there was at least one year where it was late, and we didn't get it till January. No one will be able to give you a definitive answer for this year though. We never know till it happens.

Use a credit card and have a good shopping week anyway.

Payment generally has not been received before x-mas last few years.

I've noticed that my AdSense payment hits my bank account on the last Wednesday of the month. If that pattern holds true in December, I won't see the payment till after Christmas.

People do get paid on different days--maybe you can find a similar pattern.

"Use a credit card and have a good shopping week anyway."

no. it is more enjoyable and peace of mind when you use your own hard earned money.

You HAVE earned it. You just haven't RECEIVED it. It's a different issue from spending money that you haven't earned yet.

2005 - 23rd
2006 - 27th
2007 - 27th
2008 - 29th

That's payment issued NOT payment received. UK EFT.

So, it's unlikely you'll actually receive it before January.

martinibuster, I did receive my money in the bank before Christmas last year. In that same thread that you linked to, my post says:
-------------------
6:44 am on Dec 23, 2008 (utc -6)

Wow, woke up this morning to see new Adsense money sitting in my bank account before I knew I even had PIP. Sweet.

dazzlindonna, yes. That's why I used the word generally in my post. ;) In most years, payment has not been received and in the bank until after X-mas.

Martini the only early payment I can recollect was yonks ago when November payment was screwed up and I/we received both November and December something like two weeks apart. One late, one early.

Relying upon my faulty memory.

If I remember correctly for me - last December I had the payment BEFORE Christmas like on the 24th or something (I'm checking that now but computer running slowly :(

The year before that I got my payment just AFTER Xmas - like on the 26th of the month. Also if I remember correctly those in Canada and Europe got theirs a little later because of an additional holiday (I think it was "Boxer's Day" or something like that)

I was able to check my past payment history and for the last three years I have gotten my Adsense payment before Christmas.

However having Adsense and being a part of it I have come to the conclusion that you just can't be sure! I do remember there being a discussion about how the "powers that be" at Adsense would like to close their books at the end of the year as early as possible so that's why the December payments were received more earlier.

But I wouldn't bet on it 100% as far as getting our Adsense payments early are concerned. It would be nice but it's not written in stone!

The last Tuesday of this month is the 29th, I doubt AdSense would use that but who knows? For me they rarely deviate from the last or second last Tuesday depending upon dates.

I'd speculate PIP 22nd or 23rd.

Pure speculation of course. If it's 29th then early January receipts.

I'll invest a lazy $5 on PIP 22nd or 23rd. The rest is up to the banks and mail in your area.

[added] Add in public holidays in your location.

>>>I was able to check my past payment history...

This is interesting how there may be differences in when payment was issued AND received.

Last three years payment was issued before x-mas once and previous two years after. Also may want to consider that when payment is issued and when it's in the bank and can be spent are two different discussions, as well as if you're doing direct deposit or receiving a check.

From the time that I have spent on this board I would have to agree with you about the different discrepencies.

It seems that those outside of North America - sometimes Canada - receive their PIP's but they don't get their actual EFT payments for a few days after. I notice here in the states that those that have EFT usually get their payments 24 hours later and one person in the US / EFT posted that they got their payment BEFORE their PIP was even listed on their account! Alas this has not happened to me so far :(

I thought I posted about it here before but during the December PIP posts I notice that those in Europe or Canada or someplace have an extra holiday right after Christmas - which I think they call "Boxer's Day" which further delays getting their Adsense payment.

So far for the last 3 years I have gotten my Adsense PIP before Christmas. But just to make it a little more complicated - when I first joined Adsense I received my payment by regular check so those first 2 Decembers my PIP was noted before Christmas but I didn't actually get the check until after Christmas of course.

With the EFT thing, standard-wise the money can be actually spent the next day but I have managed to spend it before that without incurring any fees - so far! Usually though I just wait until the next day.
