I'm considering changing my links to blue/underlined to match the adsense links.
The adsense banner looks good in black/grey/blue designs but clashes quite a lot with green and yellow in my opinion. If you place a dark blue or black around the adsense then it seems to help it merge in with the site. The dark border in the ad itself stands out a bit too much against a light background.
Also think the skyscraper looks best on the right side of the page rather than the left as it looks more like the usual good SERP ads.
I've left my font as verdana for the time being but it might be better to use the same as adsense (arial I think). What do you guys think?
Hopefully we'll be able to customise soon so this won't be a problem ;-)
Skyscapers are another story. They have a tendency to look junky at the best of times, and they definitely have a "stuck on" look if the site wasn't designed to accommodate them.
I'm using the banners, and they're performing very well on my site, so I'm not even considering skyscrapers.
BTW, at least one of the ad networks (Tribal Fusion) is using AdWords leaderboards. I wonder how long it will be until AdSense offers the leaderboard format? I'm not a big fan of leaderboards myself, but they're probably easier to accommodate on many sites than skyscrapers are.
Seeing how the ads aren't intrusive, I'd think Brett might want to give it a shot. The income potential is tremendous. Then he could lower the Subscription fee. :)

I wonder how high Brett's revenues would go with all those SEO firms bidding against each other for recognition? :-)
Personally i cant see us changing other aspects of the page to fit into google's default. That would be a massive undertaking and re-design. Thankfully however we have always subscribed to using standard blue links, so no prob there.
Inserting the code into our includes or templates is a no-brainer however, and we are testing how profitable Adsense it on some test pages, without changing the design of the page.
Now if for example Adsense turned our to be less than profitable, or they reduced payouts etc. over time we would have to change it all back again!
