Is adsense support dead?

One of my friend (publisher) didn't get his Cheque (of May 2009) and tried to contact adsense support, and there is NO reply at all.

1) he sent many mails.
2) he tried to post his issue in the Google forum
3) He called to Google head office (Hyderabad) and they told that there is no phone support for Adsense

Now he doesn't know what to do.

Even I tried to contact Google many times with few issues and never got any reply. Even support for Adwords is also DEAD. I mailed (4 weeks ago) google about my Adword issue and didn't get any reply yet.

Do you guys feel the same?

The problem is they get SO many emails about lost checks, slow payments, banned accounts, and many general questions that it would seem they ignore most of them.

Make sure when you send an email you title it well and use perfect grammar to explain the issue. Otherwise, there's not much you can do.

I think the AdSense support team got layed off in that last round of Google layoffs.

This past week I received an email from someone saying that she was my AdSense account rep and she wanted to asked me some questions.... She then gave me a link to a Google Docs Form, the same kind that you or I would use if we wanted to do a poll using free tools.

I think she really was my account rep, but there's no way I would risk answering details about my business to someone with whom I was not absolutely certain.

It reminded me of the You Are A Winner spam email going around saying that I've won $300,000 from Microsoft, with a hotmail return address.

I don't think so.
