Top five advertisers no longer display

Why won't the highest bidders show on adsense?

I have noticed something interesting lately. This only started happening about 2 weeks ago.

The top 4-5 advertisers for a certain keyword that use adwords stopped displaying on my adsense banners. Now the only ads that show up are the ones that are down the list which means less money per click. Anyone here know why this is happening or have experienced the same?

They may have opted out of the content network for a number of reasons:

- they may not like the conversions they're getting from content network site like yours
- they feel there is too much fraud
- they don't like the sites where they see their ads, including yours

Sometimes they do this to save money. If your going over your budget it is easy to just turn off adsense advertising and save some dough. Some advertisers that really pay attention to their stats and notice that adsense sites just don't give a good ROI. Another reason is they see sites that have their ad and don't like them so they pull out.

If all 4-5 advertisers seemed to drop out at the same time, that may suggest your page was "re-targeted" by mediabot. If you're seeing lower paying advertisers, these are probably smarter advertisers using less competitve phrases.

Another explanation for 4-5 top advertisers bailing out at the same time is that one and the same account manager is behind all Adwords accounts. He might have figured it out that the content ROI is not that great after all...

It could also be that those ads that were formerly in lower positions have decided to boost up their $$ to get those top spots. Do your channel stats also show lower EPC?
