Hi webmasters,

That depends, many existentialists have regarded traditional systematic or academic philosophy, as too abstract and remote from concrete experience.

Therefore, if you believe in the systematic reporting philosophy employed in Google Analytics then it's probably safe to assume it's reasonably accurate.

Existentialist? We can compare the reports with log files and find meanings at odds with what Google Analytics and the AdSense CP tells us.

Maybe Deconstructionism?

Existentialism analytics attempts to describe making rational analytics interpretations despite existing in an irrational log file universe.

When we discuss analytics existentialism it's a philosophy concerned with finding humans vs. bots which exist more in the academics of log files, not the javascript systematic reporting of humans in Google Analytics.

Even Google knows the Analytics values for Adsense are wrong.
When I view the 'AdSense Overview' report in Analytics I see a link labeled "Why do these numbers differ from my AdSense account?" Clicking takes me to a report which shows accurate (I think) adsense figures against analytics estimates.
Adsense is almost 50% higher.
But the page doesn't include an explanation of why they differ. Weird.

Not sure what the value of the adsense-in-analytics is supposed to be.

It's certainly been my experience that Analytics under-reports Adsense earnings (usually by just over a third). On any given day, Analytics begins its reporting several hours early that the Adsense user interface but by the second half of the day has begun to slip behind in the amount it shows. It does seem odd that the two totals don't match. I suspect the answer has to do with non-Aristotelian logic or possibly the number 42.

It's worms. WORMS ARE EATING THE ADSENSE OUT OF MY ANALYTICS!

(to answer your question, raj1094 - no, the Analytics reports aren't accurate, and technically speaking, even the AdSense reports can be altered for invalid clicks and whatnot. The most accurate AdSense report of all is the amount they deposit into your bank account or write you a check for)

Its simple. You MUST have your tinfoil hat on when you check analytics stats. Otherwise, you'll experience a Coriolis effect, which as everyone knows, changes your numbers depending on what hemisphere you are in.

I'm surprised noone here seems to take the Swine Flu H1N1 into consideration! A significant portion of atleast my Analytics AdSense reports have been infected by it (and before anyone tries to humour me, I read it Twitter! So there.)

(raj1094, Link Unit revenue is not included in your reports, from G's own help: "AdSense reports in Analytics only track AdSense for content ad units, and do not include link units, search boxes, mobile ads, or any other AdSense products.")

Leaving aside the esoteric discussions, the short answer is:

AdSense Analytics is for me, as close to Fantasyland as one could get. At best it records 15% - 20% of my income so how reliable is that?

It depends on what sites. Some of my sites are under reported 50% in Analytics, others just about 20-30%.

I use Analytics for trends and general observations. I refer to Adsense for exact figures.

In terms of money Analytics is ~2% off for me. In terms of pageviews it can get as high as 5%. Don't know why it is so much more for others.
