adsense earnings

Hi, my blog
recieves about 1000 visitors a day, but the adsense earnings are next to nothing.
is there anything special that people do to increase adsense earnings without violating adsense policies.

An other danger is the low quality traffic from the source, You mention on Your site as most important.
