I had to compare previous years, I just had to!

First off,

May 2009 v April 2009 -10.25%

However this is not the whole story for me when the rise in UK Sterling is taken into account, against March it will be roughly -20%!

May 2009 v May 2008

Google Page Impressions amazingly similar
Actual clicks -45.27%
CTR -43.86%
eCPM -44.13%
Earnings -45.62%

Just to really depress myself I compared May 2009 v May 2006

Earnings -62.20% in US Dollars

Global industry, global problems, global contraction!

I used to have in mind a monthly minimum I considered as acceptable before considering another course of action however I have now smashed through that level.

Do I re-set that level now or do I simply not bother with site modifications since the hourly rate is non-justifiable insofar as I am concerned?

How do your metrics compare?

May was our worst month in over a year. Traffic steady. Sign of the times I guess.

Our in-text link revenues are down as well, and much of our affiliate income has vanished.

One bright spot, our banner (cpm) partner revenues are holding steady. We have actually been able to increase revenue in this area due to the addition of a new ad slot.

Direct ad sales have been difficult as companies want more targeted for less money.

I'm down about 10% from April to May, but it's more of an issue of traffic than ecpm. I'm getting less traffic these days for some reason.
