Expandable Ads, have you noticed any impact on earnings or otherwise?

Back at the beginning of March 2009 G introduced expanding ads in the AdSense program.

When these are pay per click ads (as opposed to CPM ads) these require 2 clicks to before you earn anything from them.

One click to expand the ad, and another click to take you to the advertizers site.

They're sort of a cross between a regular AdSense ad and an AdLinks unit, I guess.

Has anyone been able to document any impact on earnings from these expandable ads?

Here's a link for more info [adsense.blogspot.com] on these.

You're automatically eligible to receive expandable ads if you've added the AdSense code directly into your site's source code and you've enabled image ads. Please note that expandable ads are currently only available to specific advertisers located in the U.S., who can bid on specific sites where they'd like their ads to appear.

I do not use image adverts, and I am in the UK, so I won't see them.

you've enabled image ads

What a total disaster that was.

Back to text ads and how CTR improved [for the moment]
