Redirection from Banned Adsense Site

Is redirection to an add on domain from a adsense banned site bad?

My old website got banned from adsense because of click fraud. It was a first attempt, the webmasters were idiotic and clicked on the ads themselves, and got banned.

We've created an add on domain and I was wondering whether re-direction from the old website will qualify me for another ad sense ban? The old site is still getting good traffic.

IMO, you will still be banned.
Only google will be able to tell you for sure.

That is upsetting to hear.

The ban applies to the publisher, not the site.

The name, address and bank account are of a new person now.
So basically its a new website.

I was hoping to know whether re-direction from the banned site qualify as a ban? I haven't heard of adsense bans turning into sandboxing of websites.

Secondly, if I don't do a re-direct, then will Google somehow find out that the new domain is hosted under the same account under the very same hosing service e.g
xyz.com is hosted at bluehost
abx.com is a new add on domain hosted at bluehost as well

and by default abc.com can be accessed as abc.xyz.com

So will Google find this out and ban a new, healthy and TOS compliant website?

Hoping not. Fingers crossed.

Personally, I would still clarify with google to make sure.
No point adding it, earning money, just for it to be taken away again.
Martinibuster is correct, but with you doing redirects etc. they may see it as someone trying to sneak in again.

You are not the first one to think of this "solution" and this is certainly not the first time Google has encountered a banned website coming back with "different" owners. From what's been seen from previous posts to this forum, Google finds them and bans them. Past posts have made clear that a new site and account that is associated with a banned account is headed for trouble.

I posted above my opinion that Google bans publishers but I want to clarify that I didn't mean to imply that the banned site itself is not under scrutiny.

Thanks for the replies everybody.

one last thing to help make everything clear.

1. Add on domain on existing hosting service.
2. No re-direction from banned account
3. New account on adsense
4. New name and contact details
5. Completely abiding by TOS

Will this still qualify as a ban?
Hopefully not

If the old Web site belonged to a publisher who was banned, it's reasonable to assume that a redirect from that Web site would be viewed skeptically by Google.

Google may ban by publisher account, not by site, but Google is certainly capable of remembering which publisher accounts a Web site has been associated with in the past.

Google may ban by publisher account, not by site,

This is not true, I`ve experienced the same problem before - adsense banned one of my domains because one of my subdomains that is managed by my friend is not complying with the TOS, but I can still have my personal and my friends adsense account.

That was a horrible experience.

I've had trouble with a domain I had picked up that had been used before (it had been left to expire after it had been parked).

Since the domain had still had some nice incoming links, I didn't want to wait too long with keeping it offline.

Once I added content I saw some URLs insisted on pushing PSAs. While the same identical content on a different URL on the same site did work properly.

After contacting adsense support I found out they had blocked some URLs from displaying ads for inappropriate content (the parked service had some adult content afaik), and had lifted that ban as the site clearly had changed hands.

Hence I'm pretty sure there are many types of bans over at the Google Plex and a friendly note can help, just be patient and ready to get a canned response these days.
