We've created an add on domain and I was wondering whether re-direction from the old website will qualify me for another ad sense ban? The old site is still getting good traffic.
I was hoping to know whether re-direction from the banned site qualify as a ban? I haven't heard of adsense bans turning into sandboxing of websites.
Secondly, if I don't do a re-direct, then will Google somehow find out that the new domain is hosted under the same account under the very same hosing service e.g
xyz.com is hosted at bluehost
abx.com is a new add on domain hosted at bluehost as well
and by default abc.com can be accessed as abc.xyz.com
So will Google find this out and ban a new, healthy and TOS compliant website?
Hoping not. Fingers crossed.
I posted above my opinion that Google bans publishers but I want to clarify that I didn't mean to imply that the banned site itself is not under scrutiny.
Google may ban by publisher account, not by site, but Google is certainly capable of remembering which publisher accounts a Web site has been associated with in the past.
Google may ban by publisher account, not by site,
This is not true, I`ve experienced the same problem before - adsense banned one of my domains because one of my subdomains that is managed by my friend is not complying with the TOS, but I can still have my personal and my friends adsense account.
That was a horrible experience.
Since the domain had still had some nice incoming links, I didn't want to wait too long with keeping it offline.
Once I added content I saw some URLs insisted on pushing PSAs. While the same identical content on a different URL on the same site did work properly.
After contacting adsense support I found out they had blocked some URLs from displaying ads for inappropriate content (the parked service had some adult content afaik), and had lifted that ban as the site clearly had changed hands.
Hence I'm pretty sure there are many types of bans over at the Google Plex and a friendly note can help, just be patient and ready to get a canned response these days.
