I am down quite a bit today, ECPM is awful compared to normal and CTR down a bit.

Anyone else or is it just me? The rest of the month has been really good.

There seems to have been quite a lot 'issues' with stat reporting over the last few months. We're always assured that these 'issues' don't have an effect on our earnings and clicks as these are always recorded. But I'm not convinced as surely the laws of probability say that with so many hiccups then it's very likely that these issues do/have had/or will effect our earnings.

In fact every time there's a stats problem I have a record low earnings day, with no click dump at the end of it or even the during next day, week or month. Anyone else?

What data is lost?

Don't make rash accusations because the ads display / stats collecting process and reporting processes are completely separate. As long as the stats are collected, which is a trivial process to do in real-time, they can be processed at any later date.

Over the years I've been in AdSense, after the delay in reporting is over AdSense eventually catches up and it looks normal by the end of the day.

If you're also using Google Analytics you can simply compare the two of them and they should be close to identical at the end of the day.

There should be if you got clicks, I get a pretty high volume of clicks per day and my click dumps always catch up with the norm for the day and if they didn't, I'd certainly be writting AdSense to see if there was a problem with my account reporting.

If Google didn't record the clicks they couldn't charge the AdWords advertiser so in the event the clicks aren't being recorded whatsoever, both parties are losing revenue so I'm sure they have accounting for those clicks as a top priority.

Thanks ASA! This makes me feel a LOT better. Since I posted a couple of hours ago, not one extra penny has been earned so now I know it's not just me! Thanks Webmaster World for being here in these situations.

Yup - if this day ends with page views equal to what they are in Analytics but clicks down 90%- I will be asking Adsense to check into this. It happened once before about a month or so ago and I did not write them. Will this time. Could be a targeting issue for me but why on the same day as a "stats stuck" day?

FWIW, I run a free tool called SysSense which shows earnings updates on my desktop every 15 minutes so when the stats get stuck it shows the last time an actual update occurred in AdSense so I know exactly when they got stuck, it's no mystery. :)
