Not really asking a question here but I know that weekends with very good hot sunny weather means at least for me a bad weekend for sales / adsense & traffic in general.

Any one else agree?

I spent all day at the park and came back with rubbish traffic all over I guess I was at the park with the rest of the UK!

Does anyone have any ideas on how to do better on sunny weekends?

Get some gardening done. It won't make you rich but you'll get a feeling of satisfaction. ;)

I think it depends on the topic and the audience's reasons for being online. A recreational user may forsake the Web for the beach or the back yard when the weather is nice, but someone who's planning a flight for next Saturday or eager to replace a failing video card (as I was a few days ago) isn't as likely to be distracted by good weather.

Good weather coupled with bad economic conditions.
Warm weather and sunshine is free - eshopping is not.

Not if you have had a first hand introduction to skin cancer.

Absolutely not!

Your "nice day/weekend/whatever" is someone else's "bad/inclement weather day" wherever they may be in the world.

This is far too much of a generalisation unless one has a totally focussed "local/regional" site.

I'd like to confirm; nice, warm weekend days are the worst income-wise. However, I do find it hard to care when I'm relaxing outside :D Good weather is relatively rare where I'm at.

On one of my money sites (which seems to make money) I have a blurb:

"If the sun is shining go have fun. Otherwise, shop a bit for that next sunny day."

That site sells sunny day stuff.

Seems to work!

I'm glad everyone agree's with no one, just the way I like it. You all are right its too general a topic and too many factors to think about but fun to read what everyone thinks.

Its Monday now another amazing day. It will be interesting to see if everyone sitting at their desks day dreaming will go online for a little shopping. That being said I think im going to have a mini BBQ with some alcohol.

Uhm, pollute more? That should take care of the problem in the long run.

For more immediate fix: Financially support studies that try to find links between sunshine and bad things?

;-D

Relax at the pool. You'll do a lot better. Sunny days are and will always be a time better spent offline.

Yep, I agree.

Visitor numbers always dips during the nice sunny days, and so it should! Who wants to be indoors clicking through adverts when you can be outside sun bathing!

It's another nice sunny day. I'm not going to stay indoors checking my stats today, gonna forget AdSense and go for a bit. Let's remember what we're doing this for.
