September was a down month compared to the previous month. This is the first time the trend declined and the stats indicate it is due to a lowered CPC. The clicks were up but revenue is down 17%. That's a really big hit. We shall see what October holds in store for me...

Our revenues increased by 6.5 percent in September. We think that our revenues would take a hit if we did not add the multiple ads.

September's revenues were up slightly for my site, with a 1-cent rise in effective CPM compared to August. However, CPM was down about 15% from earlier in the summer, probably because I have a seasonal travel topic and there's less demand for ads in the fall.

My effective CPM went down a cent from last month, but my CTR was the same. I increased my clicks by about 10 percent (mostly owing to increased traffic), and I made about 20% more in revenue. I don't know what that means, but generally speaking, I make more as my traffic increases.

Traffic up, clicks up, revenue down. I don't blame it on adsense per se. Probably a result of being too heavily focused in one niche that draws the same type of advertiser over and over. To me, the answer is diversification, adding MUCH MORE CONTENT, and relying less on adsense and more on affiliate programs.

We have had the best month yet when measured by total income.

When comparing September '04 with September '03 we see that CTR is up 34%; Impressions are down 2%; EPC is down 15%; and CPM is up 23%.

Traffic up, CTR same, revenue up. September/04 was the best month ever for my site so far, and I've been with GA since their first month.

I haven't been in the program for too long, but September was good, except for the last few days, which were down about 30%. Clicks were pretty good (just a teensy bit down) and impressions were good, but CPM was down. It is also down for the first few days of October (but is looking up today, Sunday).

Too soon to tell if this is how things are going to be for a while. After reading the threads on this board I am prepared for "ups and downs" and I've been prepared to not count on anything. All I hope is that the downs are not forever.

August was the worst month for me this year, so Sept was better but not as good as May-July. October is a lot better.

Compared to August, everything was up in September by approximately 23%. I can't complain.

judging by the replies, the answer seems to vary by a site's content area. diversified content seems to be the solution to insulating a site against up and down swings.

Yes, that does seem like the way to go.

Revenues are lower, compared to a year ago, for all three of the main revenue sources of my site (Adsense, Amazon, Fastclick). I am wondering if the attention paid to the U.S. presidential election campaign might be a factor. I guess I'll see in after November 2.
