Adsense ads do not show up at times

Quite often, I find the adsense ads missing from my web pages. (No PSAs - simply blank space). It happens all across my sites. And then when I open the site on clicking my search result on Google, the ads show up.

I was wondering if G does not show ads when I open pages by directly typing into the browser address bar or open the page using my browser "favourites".

Also, what happens if a page containing adsense ads opens as a popup or pounder?

I use IE6 by the way.

I always get either ads or psa's, unless its a second ad-block for which there are no ads available.

Try all the usual things, like clearing the cache, testing on someone else's PC, checking that the Adsense code is complete with a <script>...</script>, create a new test adsense page and play around that.
