Ads don't seem to show when adding a new blogger post

I have a blog hosted on blogger. I've noticed that when I add a new post and go to view that post, the adsense ads don't show on my main blog page.

However, if I click on that post to go to just that post, there is a 50/50 chance that the ads will show. If I click on an older post, the ads are almost always showing.

At first I was afraid of stop words (Something like "shooting for success" being interpreted as gun related). I had gone through ever post and the ads showed on all of them.

The blog isn't high traffic.. less than 25 visitors a day right now.

My guess is that it is just taking a while for the ads to show after I've added a new post. I find that weird because the posts are all on very similar topics within the same field

There's that, plus there may be caching issues. I know I've run into them at times with Wordpress.
