For lack of a better term I'm experiencing a "white out" on one page with my 160x600, 300x250 ad units in which they are appearing as just white blocks. I've never seen this before and have the ads set to appear as a black background if nothing is available to show for an ad placement. The link unit on this page is displaying fine.

Hi
The page in question, are they set to allow text and image adverts ?
If so, do you have flash installed ?

If you do not have flash installed, then you will see white blocks.

Or, it could be another problem.

Yes, ads are both text and image.
I have flash installed and the problem has since gone away...thankfully.

I think you are correct that it was some sort of flash issue though as it first started to resolve with one ad block when viewed in IE8 then the 2nd one resolved a few minutes later. Finally, both ads were viewable in Firefox latest version.

If I had to guess I'd say it was specific to whatever ads were trying to be served to those blocks and not my site in general as other pages were being viewed OK at same time this was occurring.

Just seems like there are a lot of little glitches with AdSense these days.

I once spotted one in my ARC. It was flash, hence I thought you could have been seeing the same problem.

I'm still experiencing this problem and am now certain it's a Flash issue related to the particular ad being served. The reason I'm certain is because as the page loads in in the Ad Space right before it turns white this messages shows for a fraction of a second: "Flash Version 8 Required". Why would Google be serving ads based upon Java Flash version 8 when the current version is 10?

Also, I'm experiencing this on two separate PC's. One running Windows XP and the other running Windows Vista Business. Both have latest Flash version installed.

Is there a way to report this to Google or do they check these boards for issues like this?

do you have flash installed ?

Google appears to detect that these days. They don't detect having animation in images turned off though.
