What do you check when your adsense income drops?

Where to start?

I have sevearl sites in adsense, this month my earnings dropped 60% compared to last month and I don't know where to start look at.
I understand there might be a factor season related due to nature of most of sites, but I compare that to last year and comparing februrary 2009 with 2008 still have some 30% less than past year.

It would be very usefull a todo list...

#1) Survive the crisis ...
#2) Look for alternative ad streams
#3) Create content while surviving
#4) Look for linking opportunities you might have not done in the past because all was working well
#5) Create some more content (you'll come out of the crisis stronger)

... I'm trying to survive ... As last resort maybe I'll have to apply for a day job again.

#6) ...

Thanks. By the way is this something wrong on my particular adsense income or everybody is hit by a big drop?

sb, my earnings have been fairly stable over the past few months, and continue stable this month. Others have complained of declines. Some may be seeing increases.

I don't think I've ever seen a jump or drop that affected everyone, except possibly for this recent relevancy bug--see the thread.

AdSense has so many different publishers with so many different topics that there will always be hundreds of us going full speed in one direction while hundreds of others go full speed in another, and another, and another....

Would you mind to explain further on those?
