Just got an email invitation for 3 webinars organized by Google Adsense:
  • Using AdSense Effectively: Fundamentals of optimisation
  • Using AdSense Effectively: Looking further at building a relationship with advertisers
  • Getting started with Google Ad Manager.

I immediately signed up for the third one, it's the most complex to use thing Google has I ever came across.

Using AdSense Effectively: Looking further at building a relationship with advertisers

Isn't building a relationship with advertisers against Adsense TOS? How can you further something that isn't allowed? ;-D

I've taken the Ad Manager one; it's quite helpful. I still have a channel issue so I'm not using it yet, but I definitely recommend the webinar.

Has anyone tried the webinars before? I got the email as well but it just sounded like a few vague further emails. I binned it but now I wonder if that was a mistake.

I just said I took the Ad Manager one and recommended it. Plus I usually take all the AdWords ones too.

The last time I got an invitation, it came a little bit after the webinar was over.

"These seminars are currently invitation-only, and include a random selection of publishers."
This explains why they simply don't POST THE INFO online.
They are only for a select few.

No seminars for me!
Missed, then excluded.
Can you see why I just can't get excited over this?

So, are they targeted to the clueless who really need the info, or
are they only for the elite, who get the invitations?
Not trying to be smarta$$ed, just wondering.
Why on earth would it be "random"?

I have attended one webinar and if you think you are one of those smarties that know it all, skip it, but if you are willing to learn something, they are great. For me, I knew some things but there were some interesting tips as well. Plus, you can actually ask questions to real Google employees.

I was honoured to receive one. I think I will join up for all on offer. Nothing to lose.

We target events based on a variety of criteria. In this case, if you didn't get the invite but want to attend, I'm happy to give you the info on the first webinar.

It's called Using AdSense Effectively: Fundamentals of optimisation. It will take place on
Monday, March 2, 2009 3:00 pm GMT (it's being hosted by our Dublin team, if you couldn't tell by the spelling of optimization :)). You can register here [googleonline.webex.com].

I'm not sure where you're located, but 3pm Dublin time is 7am PST. I'm sorry for the confusion.
