Is it possible to block all doubleclick ads?

Recession + doubleclick = earnings disaster

Just a heads up. I just checked my adsense preview tool and found that a power company advertising on doubleclick was the number 1 ad on my site. It was not relevant to the site which would explain the recent absense[sic] of clicks and earnings.

For anyone slower to cotton on than me, if your earnings are poor in these recessionary times keep a watchful eye on your adsense preview tool for any poorly targeted ads taking advantage of low click prices and reducing your income.

Is it possible to block all doubleclick ads? They are getting on my nerves. Can't be as simple as blocking doubleclick.com in the competitive filter can it?

The biggest problems I am facing with doubleclick ads is that they load very slow on loading and they are always not well targetted. I removed them already from some of our pages as we can't block them.

We can't block them all in one go?

My point was mostly to keep an eye on the preview tool which is something owners of well targeted websites might have been slack with last year, but if earnings are going down it might be a good first port of call.

But I admit it would be quicker for me to block all doubleclick advertisers. I've not noticed any advertisers from there that I've not wanted to block.

I agree with the "slow-loading" comment.
I cannot count the number of times I have looked at my status bar, and seen "Waiting for ad.doubleclick.net".

Google this - waiting for doubleclick

Slashdot asks, "Why Is the Internet So Infuriatingly Slow?"
One answer? Doubleclick.

Because of improperly implemented ad or site statistics scripts. I cannot even begin to count how many times I have thought a site was being served up slow due to network congestion only to see "waiting for doubleclick/google/etc" in the status bar.
