Changing topics on same domain?

I am wondering what to do about a site that is in google which I am completely changing the topic on. Since it is listed in google already for different herbal products and I now am making it into a general health portal (without herbs) I want to use an error404 page . I think what I need is a page that the old pages go to saying we are now a health portal and feel free to check out our selections.

I don't want people to think because they originally clicked on a specific herb (ie fenugreek) that this is what they will be exploring and I want to be in compliance with adsense. So, I figured a totally static page that says we've redone our site and then has links to internal pages on the new topics (ie heart disease, high blood pressure etc) would be okay since people would have to click those links to explore the topics. Is this adsense compliant?

I think it's okay, as long as you don't put the ads on the 404 page.

The rest of your site will be OK but you can't put the adsense on 404 pages thanks pages or any pages which do not have any content

Thanks. That's what I did and I think it's in compliance since if someone clicks a link to a page from the 404 page they are interested in that topic. I appreciate the help.
