Toobar that uses google search

I'm posting this here since it has something to do with customized google search. If it's better placed elsewhere, sorry, but I couldn't figure out where.

I'd like to promote my sites, and have them searchable through a downloadable toolbar, and found one that has amazing capabilities and is customizable, and integrates site search.

I'm trying to do some due diligence here on this, so I'm research the company in various places (I won't mention it specifically).

Does anyone have any ideas as to whether this is a really dumb thing to do? I understand the issues re: the integrity of the toolbar supplier, and I'm trying to find out, but given our goal is to promote our sites, content, etc in an ethical and business enhancing way, anyone have any thoughts on this?

If anyone has any direct experience doing this, please give me a shout, private mail is fine if you prefer.

I know Mozilla has such a deal with Google but at the same time Adsense is not supposed to be used in applications so... better ask Google and tell us how it went.
