Anyone think there will be an increase in the number of Adsense channels any time? It would be nice to have more URL channels - they definitely help me maximize revenue because I can see exactly how specific pages are doing.

Yes. After the digital conversion in February, there should be room for a lot more channels. Just make sure you get a converter box if you have an old, analog AdSense account.

Yes, Ron, but I read that there might be reception problems because the digital channels might not travel as far as the old analog ones. We might have to get bigger antennas.

Well, I just hope Google doesn't make me pay for the digital package to see those extra channels.

Oh, you guys!

Agreed! A lot of those new digital channels are not going to "work".
Millions will be screaming on the 18th. Mark my words.

At least, we can "see" the Google channels - the 200 they've given us, anyway.

200 channels, and I still can't find anything worth watching. Cue the Springsteen [brucespringsteen.net].

Bundle Google's new digital channels with your hosting service and domain registration and save money! LOL

Have you considered using Google Analytics? The Adsense reports allow you to see exactly how much each page earns you.

Have you considered using Google Analytics?

I was about to say the same thing. Why manage hundreds of channel when you can just check Google Analytics?

They might like to consider it, but I'm pretty sure analytics integration is still rolling out, and isn't available to everyone yet. You can consider it all you want, but it doesn't do any good until they hit the switch for your account.

Did I miss something? Is Google Analytics now capable of showing adsense clicks/earnings/etc.?

Cripes, I would have to consider turning it on if that were the case.

Yes the integration is possible and it's great! but I'm not sure if it's opened to everyone just yet, I forgot about that. I registered to be an early user when they made an announcement on their blogs.

A recent thread about this is Google Analytics AdSense Integration [webmasterworld.com].

In my experience, that depends on what you're trying to learn. Analytics gives you some information not available solely from AdSense.

I thought Analytics was going to tell me specifically which AdSense ad on a page was clicked, but as far as I can tell, it doesn't.

Suppose I want to display a square ad block on a page the first half of next month then a skyscraper the second half of the month so I can compare the results at the end of the month. It's much easier to just assign each ad type an individual channel and view the AdSense report at the end of the month than to try and extract that information via Analytics.

If I wanted to know whether a specific ad with red text performs better than the same ad with blue text, I would use channels.

Again, that's my experience and it could be that I'm just missing something.
