I'm fed up with really obnoxious flash pizza hut ads appearing on my adsense ads (and so are many of my site members).

Figuring out the domain to block in the adsense competitive ad filter is tricky. All I can do is look through frame source code on the page to try figure out the domain. When I do this, it's a third party ad network (I won't mention here because I'm not sure if I'm allowed). Anyway, let's pretend it's blahblah dot com. So I added blahblah dot com and it's not blocking these ads. Really it seems there is no way I can block these ads.

Anyone figured out a way to block these types of ads?

I use "text" only ads. I never run image ads anymore. When I did, my CTR and eCPM was even worse then now.

If you're not using FireFox, you may want to try opening FireFox > Tools > Page Info > Media.

This will display all media files on the page (including Flash (.swf)) and maybe you can isolate the domain name that way.

I've tested image and text ads many times - image ads on my site work better - (it's an image heavy site).

I've viewed all the sources through firebug right down to what's being rendered by javascript. I have the domains these ads are coming from but they won't block - that's my problem.
