Is it me having an abysmal day or are adsense stats stuck again? CTR on my sites is 2x as low as usual. I've also been seeing the same amount of clicks all day long...

eCPM and earnings are down/lagging 25%
I no longer know what a normal CTR is

eCPM down 50% yesterday
CTR down even further mirroring what hobbs said, we have no clue as to what is considered normal now.

I'm glad you posted this, I've not seen anything like this for a long while. My stats are terrible today - but what worries me is that it's only 1 channel that is showing a big change (1/2 the normal eCPM).

Thanks for posting about this. I see a lag in stats today. No change in clicks. I am not sure what is going on.

Thanks for posting! I was starting to go a bit crazy!
Down 50% at least for me. If this is the new normal I'm doomed!

My numbers look normal (by December 2008 standards), but it's a bit early to draw any conclusions, since it's currently 10:47 a.m. Google time.

Never thought I'd be making a post like this.

My exact words!

Oh well Ian, don't get too excited it'll probably fall over in due course.

Ditto. Although this week has been better than it has been for a while. I must admit, I cleared down my filter list and quit ***** around for a bit to see if it helped. Well maybe it did and maybe it didn't. I'll take the extra money and be thankful that I can buy two cans of value baked beans now for Christmas dinner instead of one.

I sometimes feel just a little resentful at that message I see when I log into my AdSense account though. You know, the one that says "Do you have an AdSense success story that you would like to share? Click here to tell us about it."

Oh well, mustn't grumble. You take the rough with the smooth I suppose eh?

Guess today is just a subpar day for me. Luckily I'm partially compensated by a nice unexpected affiliate transaction. To those reporting above-average stats; give me my clicks back!

Tuesdays figures were waaaay off (on the positive side). Highest EPC for 2008. All other metrics untypically low, especially ad views.

Wednesdays figures are fully compensating for this (unfortunately). Lowest EPC for 2008. All other metrics in line with Tuesday.

I guess we are seeing a combo of problems:

1) IE security hole getting mass attention (one of the fixes recommended was: "disable Javascript"). Ouch. This could explain the low view numbers.
2) Rotten economy, and USD dropping like a rock.
3) End-of-year approaching.
4) Google's algo trying to compensate 1)-3)
