I haven't yet tried filtering ads because, well, I'm not sure how to know what ads are more profitable than others. How does one go about filtering ads? Is there anyway to find out which ads are doing well and which ads aren't without a lot of trial and error?

Also, assuming a profit of X, how much extra can a succesful filtering bring in? 1.2X? 1.5X? Just wondering if its really worth the work needed to start the filtering process.

I've tried aggressive filtering and found it to be a pretty much complete waste of time. There are maybe 15 - 20 ads in my filter now, and I can't even remember the last time I bothered adding one.

Mostly my experience has been that the goofy ads go away on their own soon enough. And with geo-targetting of ads by G, there's almost no way to keep track of what is being run anyway.

Generally I think I am FAR, FAR better off spending the time creating content, or even better, hanging out with my pals at the coffee shop.

Life is good, enjoy it!
