The above link takes you to a totally confusing and totally unusable utility.
I want to be able to set the price on a channel on my web site. If the ads don't meet the price on that channel then nothing is shown or the ads that do meet the price are shown.
I want to be able to set a filter on the channel, if I don't want ads about some topic, I want to be able to put in a key word that filters that topic out of that channel.
This is not rocket science, this is simple stuff here.

[edit reason] Fixed link. [/edit]
Filtering ads by topic is not something ad managers are generally set up to do. Nor are they set up to leave inventory unsold.
Publishing is a business, just like running an airline. If a seat can't be sold for $500, it's better to sell it for $100 than to let it fly empty. Ad manager software works the same way.
AdManager is complex and difficult to learn but it is very useful for those who are serious about selling advertising.
