I have a comparatively low-traffic site--on average, 300-400 page views per day. (Though I'm happy to say that average has basically doubled since last month when I joined AdSense!) I think I'm well on my way to getting more traffic and creating a little extra pocket money.
But how do I decide if "A" or "B" works better? To avoid breaking AdSense TOS, I'll try to be very vague: my last 3 weeks earning are in the single-digit dollars and a click-through where only decimal places matter per day is normal. So when I try, for example, adjusting positioning "A" vs. "B" how can I gauge what works best? I could try "A" for a week then "B" for a week and see the same performance from either.
I'm suspicious that the answer is simply "build traffic." More traffic basically equals more click, which basically means it's easier to gauge performance, right?
Thanks for any input.

Overnight result was 400% increase in revenue. Then writing a few articles for my visitors in what happened to be high-value keyword areas double the income again.
I think a majority of folks find blending ads is most effective but you need to try everything and be patient - took me 6 months to figure it out to this level.
