Hi all,

I recently created a new photoshop tutorial website simplypsd . com . I had adsense ads up or a week but the click through rate was totally C$%P.. something like 0.56%, at 1-30 cent clicks :/ i have been getting steady visitors for the last month.. 600+ unique a day, mainly from the USA, UK, and AUS.

Anyone have a any hits on where i should place my ads to get a better CTR, or maybe some advice on the design to get better revenue..

Cheers

You are not allowed to post links/references to your own website here; see Charter [webmasterworld.com]. Additionally, the Adsense agreement you've accepted upon entering the program forbids you to post your click-through rates.

As for improving your CTR, I suggest you have a look at the heat-map and tips listed on this Google Adsense help page: Where should I place Google ads on my pages? [google.com]

What I did was 2 versions of my pages by using some server-side scripts that displayed the ads in different places every second view on THE SAME PAGE. I ran them for a week to compare how well each performed (create a different channel in adsense for each ad so you can see how it performs). There are so many variables with adsense that this is one way to evaluate with a little more accuracy because the two versions are running at the same time. And it is important you have these two versions on the same page for a fair/accurate comparison. Since your traffic is relatively low, you might need to do this for a few weeks (the longer the better) to really compare.
