I'm probably having a blonde moment but does anyone know if utilizing a page caching system on a website (to improve performance) would have an adverse effect on adsense, as in would impressions and clicks still be counted correctly?

Your own server cache would only cache files on the server. Adsense is served from Google servers so the end user and Adsense should not notice a difference.

Adsense is client based, so as previous poster said, any server side caching will only be a good thing. Speeding up your pages load time will only help you get more traffic and make more money in my opinion.

Thanks for the replies. I recently updated the software that runs my site and the new software has better caching abilities than before but since the update my adsense impressions don't seem to tie up with what I'm seeing in my server logs (after discounting spider visits etc) they're down by more than half, which started me wondering and worrying.
