Hi guys,

Without going in to too much detail, my Google account was in my partners name and I've finally switched over to my own account and had our old one closed down.

Since, the eCPM has been roughly half. It's the CTR that's suffering most of all I think.

I notice that our main ad block, which is a large rectangle, is showing 4 ads, whereas it nearly always used to have one big ad in it, sometimes 2 max.

Will this change over time? It's only been 4 days, but obviously halving my Google income will have a massive effect. So I'm nervous at the moment incase things don't stabilise.

Cheers

Google Adsense is indeed, very unreliable. Weird algorithms going in every directions... it's gotten so complex, its better to diversify and make it just a reasonable part of your revenues.

Have you used all three?

If not try stacking two smaller adblocks.

The algo always has to relearn the page each time it is new. When you changed accounts you effectively have a batch of brand new pages, they have to wear in.

Yeah I guess.

I'm gonna lose at bare minimum a few grand a month until Google goes back to the state it was in.

I'm really worried about it atm. It's going to have a big impact on everything. I pray it settles down.

Google was displaying single ads in my 336 x 280 ad and they were really successful, so far since the switch I've not seen a single one and no idea how to encourage em.

Hmmm

The algorithm has to readjust to your pages; all info on your pages' surfing habits etc. was stored in your previous account.
