Hello,

I am hopeing to implement a site search feature with google adds using atomz search and am uncertain whether this is acceptable to google. I want to be able to control the search results and the data this service provides on searches made will enable me to ensure relevent pages are returned for all common searches. I do not wish to use search for adsense for these reasons.

Does anyone know if this is acceptable?

Cheers,
D

Try writing AdSense support to get the official word. Please summarize their response as I might also be interested in doing that. They may support this now that they are apparently allowing ad units to be placed on free webspace providers such as Geocities (per previous posts in this forum). On the other hand, I'm sure they wouldn't be too crazy about you using another site search provider. Hard to say.

When I used Freefind I asked them a similar question. They said that I couldn't use AdSense on a site that I didn't own.

Mark,

That was their policy on 3rd party webspace like Geocities and AOL webpages until a month or two ago when AdSense changed their tune. When did you receive that response?

It was earlier than a month or two ago.

Dont think you can use adsense on search pages. Better check with their TOS before doing so.
