Declining CTR

Thinking of blocking some advertisers

We have a lot of repeat traffic on one site and so our CTR is low because the same ads keep showing up (even though we change/add to the content often). I'd like to get some new ads to appear, so I am thinking of blocking the top few advertiser domains. I think the CTR will increase but am afraid the EPC will decrease, leaving us in the same situation as we are now revenue-wise. Does blocking work for anyone with repeat traffic?

Just blocked a whole slew of low paying ads.
I saw a temporary increase in eCPM.
No change in CTR.
I would suggest if you are planning to experiment like that, try eliminating the lowest paying ads on the page.
But then you might run into the " no inventory" problem.
Would moving the ads be an option for you? That might help with the ad blindness. Or maybe if not moving, trying a different color scheme?

Blocked some ads and both CTR and EPC went up; I don't know if it will last but it is helping right now. Is there a way to see what the lowest paying ads are?

What I did was type the URL of the last ad in each block into one of the Ads Blacklist sites.
If it came up Blacklisted, I blocked it. Of course this really doesn't tell you if it's MFA or LPC.
A lot of it is trial and error.
