Today i took a screenshot of an adsense code inside my gmail account which says:

Adsense is written in javascript, so they are not selling 'links'.

If you ask me, putting links in Javascript is like putting lipstick on a pig.

night707 means that Link sellers are advertising their services and availability of cheap links on adWords.

I saw the ad he was refering to, before it got edited out.

No jojy,

just ordinary adsense/adverts text ads in which someone is selling PR6 textlinks for $1 per month alongside other link packages to boost your PR with inbound links.

1. Google Search deprecates paidlinks.

2. Google Adwords accepts ads from paidlink sellers.

3. Customers buy links from paidlink sellers, thinking Google must approve.

4. Google Search penalizes paidlink buyers.

'Twas ever thus. It's even been pointed out to Matt Cutts (Google Search's Anti-spam guru) in a comment on his blog, but he tactfully ignored it.
